This summer (2022), I was blessed with an 8-week sabbatical to focus on songwriting for my local church, FBC Farmersville, TX. These songs were either written for my church, co-written with folks from my church, co-written with friends from other churches, or written for other churches with a view to also use some of the songs in Farmersville too. “Wait For the Lord’s Anointed”
“Wait For the Lord’s Anointed” is a modern hymn for Advent and Christmas. It is a minor tune, invoking the feeling of “O Come, O Come Emmanuel,” and many other classic Advent hymns. The recording is inspired by jazz and blues. You can download the free SAT or SATB harmonization, an SATB and piano chart, a vocal lead sheet, and a chord chart, so basically any church can sing it in whatever fashion suits your congregation. I am also happy to send you the STEM files to augment your band.
